The Plant-Microbe Interfaces SFA is currently seeking post-doctoral researchers with experience in plant genomics and genetics, molecular biology, synthetic biology, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology and bioinformatics.
There are several positions available.
Evolutionary and Environmental Microbiology
The Biosciences Division seeks a microbiologist to investigate horizontal gene transfer in microbial communities.
Plant Systems Biology
The Plant Systems Biology Group seeks to explore and understand the network of genes, proteins, metabolites, and environmental signals that lead to improved plant characteristics and performance. The selected candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of investigators undertaking broad, integrated approaches to enhance fundamental understanding of genetic controls on plant productivity, sustainability and plant-microbe interactions in bioenergy-relevant plants.
Microbial Ecology and Metagenomics
The Biosciences Division seeks a postdoctoral research associate in the area of microbial ecology and metagenomics. You will join international and interdisciplinary teams of investigators passionate about understanding the ecology of plant-associated and soil microbial communities as well as their responses to various anthropogenically induced changes (climate, contaminants, land use, etc.) in multiple systems. We focus on projects using metagenome information to understand microbial interactions with Poplus tree species.
